This year's conference covers five main topics, including; governance, risk, compliance, china, and ethics.
The topics that Effective Governance will be presenting are:
Institutional investor engagement and activism.
This program will be presented by James Beck, Managing Director, Effective governance with: Ross Barker, Managing Director, Australian Foundation Investment Company Limited; Louise Davidson, ESG Investment Manager, Cbus; and Michael O'Sullivan, President, Australian Council of Superannuation Investors. Presentation Details
The role of institutional investors in the development, setting, reporting and consideration of remuneration practices, as well as shareholder activism and the ousting of underperforming directors and officers is increasing. The investment mandate investors give to fund managers more than ever includes governance and sustainability considerations. But have investors encouraged riskier behaviours in their own pursuit of returns and do they adeguately look at the risk/reward equation? Do institutional investors fully understand what good governance looks like?
IT Governance
