An important factor in improving the effectiveness of your board, and the success of your organisation, is for each individual director to be a highly competent and effective board member.  One mechanism to maximise the performance of your individual directors is to undertake a regular review of their performance.

Individual director review can take the form of either self or peer review. With peer review, each director receives confidential feedback about their performance from the perspective of the other board members.  Self review involves each board member assessing their own performance.
