Effective Governance is a privately-owned consulting firm that delivers advice on corporate governance to clients in Australia and New Zealand.

Australia
The Australian firm (formerly Competitive Dynamics, was founded in 1998 by Professor Geoffrey Kiel, an internationally recognised expert in Corporate Governance. Effective Governance Australia is lead by James Beck, a former Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, with considerable experience in governance and designing/implementing strategic solutions to address business requirements of both government and private clients.

The Australian practice comprises of 10 staff and is the centre for Research and Development of intellectual property and methodologies. It also serves as the processing centre for Governance Reviews and On Line surveys.

New Zealand
Effective Governance New Zealand was founded in 2006 by Kevin McCaffrey, a former Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers,specialising in Strategy Development, Governance Reviews and Change Management in the private sector, public sector and not-for-profit organisations. The NZ practice comprises 6 senior advisors.
