Board Review Overview
Developing your board
Today, organisations' stakeholders expect the board to be performing at a high level. Reviewing performance is now recognised as a key governance tool to improved effectiveness. For example, the ASX Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Standards Australia recommend that boards should regularly review and assess their own performance and that of individual directors. The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) also requires this to be done annually.
So how do you know, objectively, if your board is performing effectively and efficiently?
At Effective Governance we have spent many years working with boards to enhance performance. Our colleagues, Professor Geoffrey Kiel and Dr Gavin Nicholson have developed the High Performance Board Model which we use as the evaluation framework.
Let us help you understand how your board is performing and adding value to your organisation.
Confidentiality
Effective Governance utilises the services of a third party provider for the on-line board review tool. We have a confidentiality agreement in place with this provider to protect the information our clients provide during the evaluation process. In addition, we have internal procedures to ensure the strictest confidentiality protocols.
