Cate Jolley

Cate Jolley has been the CEO of Effective Governance, part of the HopgoodGanim Advisory Group, since January 2021. Prior to this, Cate joined the team in 2019 as a Senior Advisor.

With more than 20 years of commercial and legal experience, Cate advises directors, chairs and CEO’s in the public, private and not-for-profit sector. She applies her legal knowledge, senior management experience and organisational communications expertise to identify and support clients’ board and organisational governance needs.

Admitted as a Solicitor (Queensland) and accredited nationally as a mediator, Cate’s senior executive and consultancy roles span a range of sectors including agriculture, property, finance, not-for-profit, FMCG, family business and hospitality. Cate has a particular interest in working with boards to enhance boardroom behavioural dynamics, facilitate workshops and strategically plan governance frameworks and implementation programs.

Cate’s appointment coincided with Effective Governance’s full integration into the firm’s legal practice, HopgoodGanim Lawyers. An exciting time for the firm, this integration further strengthened HopgoodGanim’s offering as a full service commercial law firm.
