HopgoodGanim Lawyers is proud and excited to announce Cate Jolley has been appointed the new Managing Director of Effective Governance, effective January 2021.
Cate is a respected member of the Effective Governance and HopgoodGanim Lawyers team and joined Effective Governance in 2019 as a Senior Advisor.
With more than 20 years of commercial and legal experience, Cate advises directors, chairs and CEOs in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Admitted as a Solicitor (Queensland) and accredited nationally as a mediator, Cate’s senior executive and consultancy roles span a range of sectors including agriculture, property, finance, not-for-profit, FMCG, family business and hospitality.
Cate’s appointment has coincided with Effective Governance’s full integration into the firm’s legal practice, HopgoodGanim Lawyers.
This integration further strengthens the firm’s offering as a leading independent legal and advisory firm.
Further to Cate’s appointment, the Principal Advisor of Effective Governance, Stephen Howell has been appointed a Director of the business, also effective January 2021.
Stephen brings 30 years’ experience as a governance professional with expertise in board governance, corporate regulation, compliance, risk management, administrative, criminal and civil law and applied corporate governance.
Both Cate and Stephen are experienced and senior members of the business and we congratulate them wholeheartedly on their appointments.
Effective Governance has been a part of the HopgoodGanim Advisory Group, the firm’s non-legal consulting division since July 2018.
